Hi Guys, just got the new BC125AT handheld scanner, very nice radio. Iam having trouble programming on my PCs? Ive tried on a windows 7 and XP? I downloaded the driver and software correctly i think? Has anyone had a problem like this? I dont know if its not recognizing the com-port or what....any help, thx

What software are you using? Are you using a USB adapter? If so, when look into your computer's Device Manager do you see a Serial Port appear when you plug in the USB Adapter? |

Hi Phil im using the the USB that came with it. It cant seem to find the scanner? When i go to device manager what should i do? I think the software is loaded OK? Kevin |

Kevin, If the USB cable is properly loaded, when you plug in the scanner you should see a new com port show up under Serial Devices, and you should see the assigned com port.
If you fail to see the above, you might need to reinstall the USB drivers using the link on page 37 of the manual.
If that still doesn't work for you, I have a proposal: Since we are practically neighbors, I would love to borrow that radio, maybe use it to make a few YouTube Tutorials, and then give you back a fully functioning and fully programmed radios (to your specs) as a way of saying thanks. Easter weekend isn't a free weekend in my house, and I would hate to ask you to put this off another week.
Another question - does the scanner show any special messages on the display when you connect it to a PC? |
