I was cleaning my BCT15 (dusting the front, no chemicals) and I must have inadvertantly hit a button on the front that has caused one of the frequencies to no longer broadcast, at first I thought it was a quiet night, but my friend told me he has audio. So i'm wondering if I must have pressed a button on it. I checked Mute, and that was off, and I have sound on other frequencies. Occurs when both scanning and on hold on that channel. Any thoughts?
Thank you in advance!

If you loaded the scanner by computer, you're probably better off reloading it. Did you check the band type (FM,NFM,AM etc)? How about l/o? |

Are you having problems hearing ANY channels, or just trunk systems? What if you go into WX mode and move the squelch so it is all the way open? Do you hear noise then? If so, check your antenna connections. If not, are you using an external speaker that is lose? Have you tried using headphones to see if it works? (Trying to TS a faulty internal speaker). If everything else looks good, see if you have the global attenuator turned on. If all else fails, I can take a look at it for you.

Though I sent a reply before, but didn't go through. The issue is actually not with the scanner itself, but the particular frequency (which w2lie i posted of about NCPD 2/8). Just weird coincidence Thank you both! |
