nassaucopcar-300x16912.jpgAs most of you have noticed, Nassau County Police have disabled their P25 simulcast yesterday.  Since the simulcast is disabled, you will no longer be able to listen to NCPD on thier UHF Frequencies.

The decision to shut down the simulcast was made after yesterday's shooting near the Roosevelt Field Mall.   I can only assume that after the terrorist act in Kenya, and the national media attention that followed yesterday's shooting, Nassau Police didn't want the world to listen in on their communications.

We can only hope that Nassau Police return the simulcast in the future.   In order to keep the NCPD feed active, Nassau Village Police have been added back into the feed.   Only the Village Departments that haven't moved over to the P25 system will be on the live feed.    If NCPD ever returns into service, we'll remove the villages from the radio.

The NCPD Simulcast returned to service last night. I've removed the village police from the NCPD Feed.

1/7 is still down, We can assume it is related to the repeater still? Hearing the feed online, it is much different, sound like it did years ago.
