Lynbrook PD - still on VHF

I understand they have an encrypted TG on the new 500MHz system, however, I hear them in the clear all the time on their old VHF hi channel. It seems they are "bucking the trend" of other city/village agencies testing the waters on the new system and then abandoning the VHF system in total favor of the TRS.

They haven't been too active yet on the P25 system. In just under 2 years, I only have 588 hits on that talk group.

Isn't this is also true of Malverne and Long Beach?

Malverne yes, but Long Beach has been been simulcasting for a few months now.
