I can see the Talk Group for 3 / 6 on the Trunk System, and you are correct, the UHF Repeater is silent.

And now they're back again.

Yup. And now that you mention it, 3/6 is out again, too. (Maybe it's time to change the name of this thread!)

I haven't logged the 4th and 5th since 10/14. It looks like the 3/6 stopped transmitting on the repeater around 2:40pm on 10/20.

I can see both channels keying up on the trunk system, but there is no simulcast. For what it is worth, I can also see the HWY/ESU/K9 talk group on the system, but can't hear it anymore on the simulcast. That frequency has been weak for some time, so I don't know if it is still transmitting and I can't hear it, or if it is totally off the air.

It looks like we are one step closer to losing NCPD on our scanners. The last transmission I logged for 1st & 7th was 1923hrs tonight. This just leaves 2nd & 8th left on Simulcast.

I can't get my head around where their money and priorities are coming from! Well it looks like 2/8 will really go out with a bang after lasts nights job in Farmingdale.

The way I look at it is, we pay taxes to be protected, we ought to know what is going on. We can be monitored, therefore we should be able to monitor as well.

It is too bad that we are the only ones that see it that way. I'm all for encrypting tactical operations, but not for the general police calls. There should be no secret police, we should be able to listen to the day to day operations. JMO

It's very unfortunate. I'm lucky enough to be able to pick up a very strong CC from the Suffolk 800 MHz system so I'll at least be able to hear Suffolk's countywide PD comms should the NCPD simulcast go offline, but it still sucks. Where I live 2nd/8th comes booming in but I'll wait for the other shoe to drop soon.

Can you elaborate more on the NCPD simulcast over SCPD 800. Is there a known NCPD one on State PD as well or NYPD?
