Has anyone any new info on this system? Site 3 in particular, like what its purpose will be and its connection to East Hampton's P25 system? |

Noticed something on site 4 the other day. Tg 20231 patch (NYS Troop L ) was active without tg 231 being active. Saw this throughout the day.

Tg 231 (Troop L) seems to be using only one rid of 4537146 for all calls. I used to see different rids communicating with 4537146 and assumed 4537146 was the rid for the dispatcher. Lately it's only been the 1 rid. Seeing this in Unitrunker and DSDPlus
Thanks

2020 unanswered questions.
Who are the willie units on tg 30001?
What is the connection between East Hampton P25 system and Scpd system?
Why are there patches set up on Scpd that seem to be simulcasting over East Hampton P25 system?
Why was East Hampton P25 system being simulcasted over Scpd system a few weeks ago on tg 65514?
How come when anyone keys up on Troop L tg, its now always the same rid? Used to be one for console and then the rid for whatever officer was talking. Last month has only been the console rid.
If fire depts are going to end up on site 3, why are they on site 4 right now?
Happy New Year

Here is what I’ve noticed so far: The Willie units are defiantly some EMS/ paramedic agency or company that operates/ respond in the Riverhead area. I can’t confirm agency though
As far as the Suffolk county and EHT p25 systems... yes they are two separate systems but they are linked. Certain talkgroups affiliate on both systems such as Medcom E, Sheriff 1, Troop L, SCPD command etc. This was done to allow expanded communications via roaming between the two systems for agencies that have countywide jurisdiction or units that frequently move in between both areas coverage.
It appears the county is starting all FD agencies that are on the p25 trunk system on site 4 because certain talkgroups (Fres ops 1,2,3) etc are on both the p25 and analog trunk Thus allowing agencies to migrate over without purchasing all new apex series radios at once. Units can access these talkgroups on either the new p25 or old existing analog TRS The exact use of the 700mhz site 3 is not confirmed nor are the talk-groups that will be monitored by FRES. |

Islip 1, smithtown 1, babylon 1, will be monitored by FRES. I would assume it would follow suit with the other townwide talkgroups. As far as 30001 talk group herd them doing a patient transport from pbmc to what i think they said was southside. I'll see if i can get more info on that tg. site 3 should be for all these new fire department talkgroups. And huntington area fres low band will be going away next week. |

Anyone know if any transmitter sites are shared with MTA? Heard something about a generator problem at a site and it was said the MTA like to test their generator on the same days. |
