Based on what they are saying, they are over on Fire Island, Kismet and Saltire area. Any one have any knowledge as to who they are? P25 radio id's in the 52087XX range.
There is a joint USAR training exercise with various local agencies being conducted from the 12th to the 15th on fire island so I’m sure this is what you were hearing. If they are operating in the Babylon township they may be using this TGID for the exercise.

Saltire and Kismet are 3rd division fd and part of Islip Township with no affiliation to Babylon. Seems odd to be using a tg for Babylon unless they had a bunch of radios laying around that had that tg programmed in. I really do not know if Babylon is even using that tg anymore. Last activity I saw was what ever was before Tropical storm Isaias.
Yesterday there were periods when those 52087XX range radios where just keying up with no voice at all.

So today was FDNY's Special Operations Command Task Force held a Category 4 hurricane drill on Fire Island Thursday. And news say tomorrow its Suffolk's turn.

That would also explain the Utac43 activity I was hearing yesterday also.

Just looked and most of the legacy radios from 6th pct are still online and on 6th pct tg. No voice grants since end of April. I have them labeled to see where they will turn up. |

During the brush fire in Brookhaven today, there was some chatter on site 4 tg 219. They were saying all personnel had to be on a truck for safety reasons and could not be on foot. I do not see daily comms on this tg and not sure who it is but II suspect its a Brookhaven tg as some rids from Brookhaven Code Enf and fire marshals were logged back in February. Tg 219 popped up at the beginning of covid pandemic.

I wonder what they are going to use that for, its a conventional license not a trunked license. GE - PubSafty/SpecEmer/PubSaftyNtlPlan,806-817/851-862MHz,Conv |

Not sure but 852.6000, 853.3000 are on the existing Montauk site in the database that I do not believe is or was on the air yet.
853.3000 is an active cc on site 6 in Lindenhurst..
