By my location the only sites up are mt misery and pd hq in yaphank. Selden and hauppauge sites should be going online soon. im not sure which east end sites are online.

according to the license info, there is supposed to be more east end sites in and around the area of the north and south forks extending to the points respectively, than on the current analog system, where there was only i believe 3 at the most between the north and south forks - i had mapped out the exact locations of all the current system sites and posted the KMZ file for google earth in this forum.
the old system never had a site in or around montauk, so this should be interesting to see once the site(s) are online - i would also expect east hampton PD which has their own site and analog trunking system to be "somewhat" inter-operable with the new system once its online in the area.
i dont believe any east end sites are up and running at the moment since the signal strength i am receiving at this point is marginal on the portable but good on the desktop.
the current analog system has good signal on the portable and excellent signal on the desktop.
using the BCD996P2 on the P25 system, the quality of the sound is quite poor and reminiscent of the sound quality of the "early" cell digital audio phone days.
not sure if this is a by-product of the receivers P25 decoder or the way they are patching in the third PCT or a combo of both but either way, i dont like the sound.

Looking at the licenses for the 700 MHz system WQVX713 for the following locations Hampton Park, Hauppauge, Melville, Calverton, Yaphank, build out was completed 05/10/2016. WQWS815 for the following locations Eastport, Farmingville, Northport, Stony Brook and WQWS812 for the following locations Amagansett, East Hampton, Greenpoint, Jamesport, Montauk Gator needs to be completed by 11/09/2016. license WQVX716 for the following locations Sag Harbor, South Hampton is in termination pending status due to failing to meet the buildout deadline. There is a pleading for reconsideration letter on file siting logistical issues preventing the completion of the buildout within the required timeframe. Other than this i have nothing new to report. I am having issues getting a good decode on the system, therefore i am not sure if the testing talkgroup is active or not. I am hopeful once selden comes online my issue will go away.

As far as i know Selden, Stony Brook Hospital and Northport VA Hospital are the only sites not online yet. As far as anything new with the system, nothing yet.
