45.16 MHz is not only licensed to NYS OEM but to a number of County agencies in New York State, also the FCC drops historically expired licensees from the Genmen database from time to time, sometimes when I run across some old frequencies I used to listen to when scanners weren't even a thought yet & can't even bring them up when you elect the expired licensees on the Genmen search like 39.22 MHz & 43.58 which were Lin/Pageboy/Aircall paging frequencies but two subscription websites conduct historical searches but they are not free. Two things to ponder is the FCC data on it's site is only as accurate as the employees that input the data & as for the Uniden/Whistler/RR database download collaborative project, that's inaccurate too as the RR members complaints confirm. Ever wonder what those mega radios would be worth if RR got hacked like Fordyce, yes I remember the thread where this exact same topic came up & Lindsey assured everybody that it could never happen because his servers are encrypted & salted (WTF is salted?) yet our DOD Stratcomm ICBM LCC sites got hacked so where would everybody get their downloads from?

^ Intresting sites
And yes there is definite possibility of error in the FCC database where things may 'slip thru the cracks, non expired licenses being listed as expired, etc
This is why close call is a great tool - unless one wants to try actual radio direction finding which is very expensive and complicated
Either way the FCC isnt going to prioritize busting some small business or village for using expired frequencies
Not to say that they will NEVER do anything but its just not their priority unless someone is interfering with a police dept. and the like...

I still havent heard anything on the lowband town freqs out in Suffolk
Maybe if we get another snowstorm or something
Come to think of it im pretty sure State OEM has a base in Suffolk and they use the freq that Huntington supposedly uses [link]
So it could be linked to the towns/interop with OEM and whatnot
My best guess is that Huntington highway/DPW services is mainly on 151.025
Ive seen the 107.2 PL confirmed a few times on the net but i mostly get a PL 192.8 on that freq - unconfirmed...

What you're probably hearing on 151.025 with PL 192.8 is Holmdel, NJ PD.

I agree Nawton, the Sandbar lies between the Jersey Shore & the Connecticut Shore & between all three states numerous threads from members in all three states on RR forums address the fact that there's a massive communications "CF" between different users on shared frequencies CTCSS/DCS notwithstanding. A common dilemma I had was listening to NYCTA IRT Div trains on 158.775 MHz & hearing NYS Park Police "Taconic Region" cars around FDR Park East of Cortlandt Manor on the same frequency, drove me nuts but It is what it is.

Its possible i could be picking that up
With the way the terrain is here i tend to receive some things from Jersey or Penn. better then i can some local agencies
DPW type agencies are not particularly active day to day with the exception of storms so they can take a while to confirm
Not that im hoping for a storm but i will keep my ears out

Also has anyone got anything on this - 45.08
Licensed to the "Inc. Village of Lindenhurst" [link]
Which i had no idea they were even a inc. village until i was in the area recently and saw signs that said "Inc Village of Lindenhurst"
Looks like its for their village DPW
I stalked their yard on maps and they have a cell tower as well as antenna mast/tower on their building [link]
Cant tell if theres any low band antennas from the map...

There is no American Ambulette Company In Grandview-On-Hudson NY. What kkn50 is hearing is All Ways East Transportation in Yonkers on 33.08 MHz Under Callsign: KNNH246

Here's another one.

Dell Transportation [link] PL 103.5

They're licensed to Port Washington, but I usually hear their Hempstead location.

Very nice
I have had that frequency for a while but havent heard anything
And if their using it at the Hempstead base then i really should have no problem picking it up
But i think the Hempstead bus yard is for Huntington Coach
Intresting the license claims that freq is "itinerant" ...

Huntington Coach and Dell must be related somehow. Their licenses both list the following address and phone number:

20 HAVEN AVENUE, NASSAU, PORT WASHINGTON, NY
P: (516)883-6711
