Did they go to the 800 system, or over to the P25. I haven't been watching the systems lately, so I hope they didn't join in with the encryption. Lol, I was at Heckscher park and left my scanner on close call for the day. When I reviewed the findings, there was a bunch of 800 mhz freqs. When I searched radio reference , nothing came up. From listening more closely to the audio, it was indeed local. It turns out that what close call picked up was the inputs to the county 800 mhz system. I did not get any vhf. |

Thanks for the updates. I haven't been able to listen to the scanner lately but I thought they may have switched to the Nassau county system in Nassau but I wasn't sure. In Suffolk County they use the county 800 system |

Yes NYS PP use the Nassau 500mhz system, they no longer use the Vhf. And NYS PP Suffolk units use the Suffolk County 800mhz system. |

Had some activity on 159.42. No voice just the repeater coming up a couple of times over the course of the day. |
