not really related to police scanner listening but connected to it.
it behooves me to understand why a valuable community resource of information for Suffolk County residents which used to be "Crime Alerts" & "Most Wanted" links on their website (suffolkpd.org) would have been removed from the website, i have checked their website thoroughly, the links have not been moved and/or renamed, they are simply gone.
the only thing left on their website is "Press Releases" which really doesnt tell much information.
i am not sure what to make of this move by the SCPD either.

no i havent contacted them though i have left a "post" about it on their facebook page.
i suspect contacting them via any available method will result in no response.
i had these particular links on my scanner web page as a supplement of information along with listening to the SCPD radio communications.
"Press Release" (http://scpd.suffolkcountyny.gov/SearchPressReleases/)
NLA - "Crime Alerts" (http://apps.suffolkcountyny.gov/police/cs/blockfiles/pblockcw_dynamic.aspx)
NLA - "Most Wanted" (http://apps.suffolkcountyny.gov/police/cs/blockfiles/pblockmw_dynamic.aspx)
NLA - "Arrests & Incidents" (http://apps.suffolkcountyny.gov/police/MediaIncidents/default.aspx)
disappointed that they appear (in my opinion) to removed for what i would like to consider "political" reasons since the new DA was previously the SCPD chief.
