It's a digital trunked system. The frequencies are listed here: [link] |

It's a trunked system, where users share frequencies. Depending upon your scanner, you will need to enter either all of the frequencies or just the control channels. That's a bit beyond what I can explain here, so you should probably read your manual. Good luck! |

I,m Sorry but I Have to Chime In Here---I Have Been a Member Here for Almost 11 Years--I Did alot of Postings in the Forums and the Buff Box Thru the Years--I Also had the Great Chance of Being a Moderator for Phil and was Really Dedicated to this Site--Now for the Bad News---IT REALLY PISSES ME OFF when Other Members Post a Scanner Frequency Site for Frequency Information---WHAT IS THIS SITE HERE FOR (w2lie)--Phil Busts his ASS to Keep this Site Going and Puts Alot of Time in Making Things Right--But Without Us to Help with Additions and Such this Site is Dead in the Water
How About PROMOTING THIS SITE---We Do Have a FREQUENCY DATABASE to USE
I See A Few Members Giving Information to the Compition--(Thats Right I Said It)----IT Would be Nice to Bring Some of That Info Here and Share it with the Community
IF IT Has to Do with Long Island KEEP IT on a LONG ISLAND WEBSITE
IF YOU See Something MISSING or NEEDS to be UPDATED or a MISSING FREQUENCY---PLEASE Post IT
Thank You All for Your Time

I'm not trying to be argumentative here, but I think the reason many people refer to the "other" site for frequency information is because that site is very up-to-date. Unless I'm looking at it wrong, the Nassau County fire frequency list that was uploaded to this site (w2lie) hasn't been updated since 2015. I find it VERY hard to believe that nobody here - including the "old guard" like yourself - has not come across anything since 2015 that you could share with this site....
Again, from what I see, it's very very old and outdated. Also, the format is old and outdated looking. On the "other" site, updates occur almost weekly, or at least monthly. It's nothing nefarious or malicious - it's just that people want the latest info. I understand that I may not be looking in the right place on this site for newer info so if I am please direct me to the most recent data. Thank you.

You are correct, the published lists here are a bit dated. The new site has a better format and will be easier to add info into. I've also integrated with Radio Reference on the new site for most frequencies outside of Nassau or Suffolk. Here is a sneak peak of the new frequency list on the new site:
