| Does anyone know if this is up and running or just set up for testing at this time? Seeing many registration requests being refused... Just curious.

| Assuming that you're referring to the UHF cell of the 3A8 system...very limited testing only. |

To clarify for anyone lost, the 3A8 system is the DoITT P25 system, not to be confused with the Motorola Type II Systems that operate on 800 and UHF. This thread is about another layer on the 700Mhz P25 system. |

| It's not so much "another layer on the 700 MHz P25 system" as it is an integral part of the 3A8 ASTRO 25 system. All of these P25 systems are capable of operating across multiple bands, with the only difference being the repeaters themselves that determine the frequencies a site or simulcast cell operates on; all of the backend equipment such as the site controllers, comparators, zone controllers, master/prime site, system core, etc. share the same hardware across all bands. Think of it like an APX 8000 will all bands enabled in a single radio "system", just on a much, much larger scale! |
