I'll take a listen. I can't stand hearing computerized dispatches and I hope that departments on the Island do not go that route.

computerized dispatch, self checkout, automated garbage trucks, and drones! Job eliminators. But drones are fun.

Some actual FD/EMS depts use computer voices for dispatch? I had no idea this was even a thing

What i was hearing on this freq seemed to be only the dispatch side - and perhaps more of a private EMS/ patient transport type deal
Things like " Mr smith going to Dr. whatshisname " and whatnot
Was picking this up around Sunrise hwy in western suffolk

there has been alot of skip and ducting happening the past couple of weeks--you could have encountered a spat of that dx flying around

a good example to hear what automated dispatch is / sounds like go here--> [link]

that is Dallas City Fire / Rescue

i searched ny / nj / ct / delaware / d.c / texas / n.carolina / mass / r.i / maine / ohio / michigan / wisconsin--->all have nothing with a fire / rescue affiation on the Freq you posted

hmmmmm its late so i quit on the search but im leaning toward the dx skip
