I recently came across these 151-159mhz freqs licensed to the Red Cross out of Shelter Island - [link]
They apparently have 800mhz repeaters out of NYC and Suffolk as well [link] I havent yet heard anything on any of these freqs
I know the ARC has lots of lowband licenses all across the country for 47.42 and 47.50 however i havent heard anything on 47.42 aside from morse code and dead carrier on 47.50 I have heard them do OEM roll calls on the NYC and Nassau 800mhz systems so im just curious if anyone on the forum is aware of any other Red Cross radio activity ...
I got PL 79.7 on 154.3475 which is a Red Cross freq Seemed to be possibly a EMS dispatch and i just saw that there is a Broadcastify feed for Shelter Island and Southold which lists that freq as "Shelter Island Red Cross Ambulance" [link]
I reached out to the Shelter Island feed provider for any info about tones and whatnot - radio silence Seems they havent been online in years But the feed is still up I also found this - [link] Apparently the Red Cross has a volunteer ambulance service for Shelter Island
