I know its not easy to find out now with everything encrypted but - does anyone recall if NCPD dispatched for the small villages that fall within the 2nd and 8th pct such as Oyster Bay Cove and Laurel Hollow?
Or did they just have select NCPD units to cover the areas?

If they dispatch for a small village, I believe those units are or used to be dispatched on their respective NCPD Pct area they were in. They might be dispatched on separate talk groups now?

Yes thats what i was wondering if they were dispatched on the original NCPD 2nd&8th freq at one time or if they used their own freq
I also have noticed what looks to be village RID's on the 2nd&8th TG but they dont match up with any of the other village RID's on the system

I believe any dept that is dispatched by the county is on the 2/8 band.I know I've heard Muttontown, Center Island and Oyster Bay Cove.

Oh ok
I thought so because i recall hearing that years ago they would just assign a county car or 2 which covered the village areas but as time went on and those villages formed their own PD i wasnt sure if they still used the NCPD freq so if they use the 2/8th TG that would add up
Thanks
