We're moving to Palm City FL next month (Martin County). By all counts, it seems to me that Florida is a very " scanner unfriendly" state, with virtually no PD or FD to listen to as everything is encrypted. I have no interest in compromising and settling for listening to highway crews, taxis, school buses etc. Does anyone who has been in FL or knows of the PD and FD situation think it's going to be worth even trying to listen to anything? If not, I'll probably sell all my gear

| If you love scanners I would keep the stuff. If your in need of cash, that's a different story. Its rare, but I recently read somewhere that enc was reverse at an agency. I think it was fire related. You never know what the future holds. |

Don’t need the cash but I DO love scanning and I will miss it if I can’t do it as easily as I did before - but you’re right, probably better to hold onto the stuff for now.
