Southold Town is paging on 454.125 from multiple sites. It is a Relay Communications frequency. They are slowly migrating off of low band. It was our thought that it was going to be Townwide dispatch only, but Southold FD is now simulcasting over it with all of their announcements as well. The rest of the township is using their own UHF channels for announcements. I'll update with a PL when I get back to my computer at home.

Thanks Bob! Do you know how many sites? As far as I know for fire/ems low band, 8-0-0 uses a site at PD HQ and on Greenport Water Tower. Is this still accurate?

Right now I believe there are 3 sites. They are trying to add a couple more as the funds become available. Low band is PD HQ, the cable tower in Greenport, and Orient FD. The water tower has been down for years. This is why FRES really can't dispatch anyone in the 8th division that well. Greenport requested FRES to call 8-0-0 with any calls for us and they will dispatch. Greenport is changing vendors in the spring and getting our UHF dispatch and operations antennas moved to the proper height on the cable tower. Right now we can barely operate on a portable in our district.

Wow. Ok, thanks for the info. Surprised 8-0-0 didn't put a site on the west end. There is a large tower in Jamesport off Sound Ave, which I believe Jamesport FD has their UHF repeater.
