Most Nassau RMPs have the short UHF antenna as well as the data antenna on the back but I have seen a few RMPs with 4 whip antennas like the car in this video - [link]
Is this strictly a highway patrol thing? The multiple antennas are for interop i would guess but if anyone has more info its appreciated

The four antennas are for LoJack. Other NCPD RMPs besides Highway Patrol also have them. |

Lojack thats interesting - yes i have seen that antenna setup on some other NCPD vehicles besides highway patrol Some but not all
While on the subject - anyone know what units are these 14xx# vans? Saw a few of these on the road recently but I dont think they are crime scene vans - crime scene units i think are 1001-1005 The closest numbers i have to 14xx is 13xx which i have down as "crime resistance units"

Another interesting find - RMP 1952 On my list of NCPD units i have 19xx down as "Civil Preparedness Unit" but i havent been able to find any info about such a unit I would guess perhaps something to do with/attached to OEM Obviously the pic is outdated so maybe it is now defunct and my list is probably not 100% up to speed
Also interesting to see a Sheriffs van(27xx) but with NCPD markings Again an old pic so things could certainly have changed by now

RMP 1952 is currently assigned to the PO in charge of the Auxiliary Police, and is unmarked. |

Interesting - thanks for the input Yes the car pictured is not a typical patrol car as it does not appear to have a cage in the back However that car is around 25 years old
The list i have is actually blank from 15xx to 191x but i have never seen NCPD vehicles with numbers in that range
