TG 5036 was active during the storm - i think it may have been snowplows

TG 5038 is getting active "Headquarters to motor patrol"
Maybe a village public safety/security type thing
RIDs are 8600xxx

So TG 5038 is not a village agency - it seems that its actually NUMC
Mentions of the ER/ patients getting discharged/ surgeries and whatnot

There has been alot of testing on the 800mhz site lately
It looks like the EDACS system is going to be completely off the air soon
As of this morning the EDACS is still transmitting a control channel and during the storm one of the village DPW were active so im not exactly sure what users are still using

Also it looks like all the new 800mhz radios are Motorola - previously they were Harris
During the testing i was hearing "Motorola on the air with a radio check"

Makes sense, since EDACS is a Harris system (previous GE, M/A-COM, etc.) and the P25 system is Motorola.

Having personally known a user of the EDACS system - and more trips to the medical center than i care to admit - i believe the old 800mhz portables were Harris P5100s
Most of them were a grayish color

Still lots of testing happening on the 800mhz site during the day - seems like the power is slowly increasing as well

I think NCPD itself was always Moto even on the 470mhz radios - and the rest of the county was a mix

Another observation - none of the encrypted NCPD talkgroups from the 500mhz sites seem to affiliate with the 800mhz site at this time - with the exception of TG 1030 sometimes

Tg 5038 on 800 site. It does sound like hospital security at NUMC or any other hospital that has up to 9 floors.

I have heard them say,

ems area,,
headquarters to ER,
Hq to 14, give ER backdoor a 32?
Go up to 9th floor,
fight on 3rd floor.
10 7 in the basement.

I saw this mentioned somewhere but can't find it to quote but Darkstar mentioned something about unit numbers and rid's.

On tg 5038 the last digit in the rid is not used by them for identification purposes or just a total coincidence because dispatcher called a unit asking him what radio he had. Rid 8600190 responded saying radio 19.

All rids on this tg are 8600XXX. Infact, all rids I captured were,
8600050
8600060
8600080
8600130
8600190
8600520
8600630

NUMC security is on the 800 band as is Nassau County Corrections and OEM. Firecom still has an 800 freq as does each battalion.

Yes TG 5038 is definitely NUMC - i guess it seems to mostly be used by security at the moment
Last time i was there which was i think about 2 years ago now - the security and maintenance workers had the harris portables but some of the doctors and whatnot had what looked like a Motorola cordless phone type thing or perhaps similar to a Nextel unit

I heard someone using fire dept codes on i think TG 5030?(didnt write it down)

Whats also interesting about TG 5038 is i have numerous RIDs for the dispatchers and most of them appear to be portables
RID 8600011(only ID i logged that looks to be a base)
RID 8600050
RID 8600280
RID 8600310
RID 8600640
All of those RIDs have identified as headquarters

I have rid (8600370) logged with a grant on tg 5030. I also have that rid logged with grants on tg 5038.

My Nassau signal is coming and going today and I have no audio for the last 24 hours in trunking recorder.

tg 5018 on 800mhz

Keep hearing units calling central saying 10 37 from, then a bank name like chase citibank and wells fargo.

Radio id's are 810XXX and 5001 and 5002
