Not sure who it is, but there has been a good amount of testing all week on 453.4625 Utac41. Received ok in Islip Terrace and really strong in East Farmingdale ( Nassau / Suffolk border) . Pl used is 156.7.

Anyone know who is testing on the freq?

Left the 200 parked on it for a while. They, whoever they are, are referring to it as ops 1 as today they were announcing, "testing on ops 1 1 2 3 4 5. Then they said go to two. '

Gonna let the 436 scan all the Utac freqs tomorrow and Monday.

If they arent identifying with any unit numbers/ ten codes or anything then could be anyone really
Maybe even radio techs

I do recall a few times that i confirmed FD in nassau using the UTAC freqs during training or whatever
Sunday is usually the training days for most vol. Nassau FD so try monitoring on sundays from around 8am - noon

Elmont was doing some radio testing a few weeks ago. PD also uses those freq's as well and has them in the radios they carry.
