I have been picking up activity on the 463.1875 frequency last couple of days. Sounded like Riverhead FDs tones being simulcast. Anyone have more info? |

I am pretty sure 463.1875 is a National Interoperability freq. |

It is not, the UCALL/TAC frequencies are in the 453 range.

There is a EMS TAC channel for that frequency in the interoperability section. I also found this frequency on the county license (call sign WQYX985) with the original 453.8750 frequency (that was going to be Paging East.) I stuck it in my 1 scanner and it's been silent until the last couple of days. Thought maybe someone knew something about it. |

Also found it here: [link] . I don't know could be the new paging east frequency, or not. The buildout information is current and supposed to finish by 09/21/21. |

My bad. 463.1875 is a Uhf Med Freg, under Public Safety Common listed on the National Interop's page.
I ran the search and only caught National Interop's on the end. |

453.875 is in use by Nassau County Firecom for paging and occasionally depending on weather conditions and time of day an out of state signal makes it way here. It is also Suffolk FRES Paging East, but not in use due to Nassau. Rumor has it FRES is in the process of obtaining another frequency to replace this one. As far as 463.1875, I do not have any info on....

I think if FRES put PL's on their 2 UHF paging freqs it would make a world of difference.
I know Motorola doesn't like having a PL on paging freqs, but the majority of agencies have a PL - as a lot of agencies use their paging freq also as Ops/Dispatch.
According to a FRES source, when they "officially" sign off on the paging system from Motorola, they will prob add PL's, so users monitoring FRES Paging won't hear outside interference - which we currently do on West (not too bad) and more so on East from Nassau Firecom. I don't think they necessarily need a new East freq, a PL would do the trick. They should be spread out enough to avoid serious interference - it's about 30 miles from the Nassau border to the East paging zone.
