Heard something on aviation medevac talk group. Special patrol called to 5 41 0 and a woman answered as 5 41 0. I do not see anything for 5 41 0 listed here or any of the other sites I found that list Suffolk fire depts identifiers. Anyone know what dept. that is?

My old Scanner Master Guide says that it's Stony Brook University Hospital ambulance. I can't confirm though.

That is correct as I was informed in a pm of the same. I am not sure why its not listed here on this site [link] and this site do not have it either [link]

Also not sure why its 5th division identifier when Stony Brook fire dept uses an 5A identifier. 5A-3-x Stony Brook

Would love to see a copy of those pages you have.

Not sure why or how they came up with the 5-41 identifier but those identifiers are defiantly Stonybrook Hosp EMS. They run several ambulances throughout the county and you will commonly hear them identify as Medic units when talking with Medcom or local Fire Depts ( Medic 45, Medic 55, Medic 60 etc)

When they are communicating on their own TG to other SB ambulances or their dispatcher they use the 5-41-x identifier.

The medic units have capabilities of vhf,uhf and 800 trunk. Depending on where they are operating or providing coverage for they can talk to individual departments on uhf / vhf. And obviously have capabilities on the TRS for Medcom, hospitals , Fres etc.
you will hear them identify themselves as Medic __ (assigned #)
Ie- Firecom, Medic 45 sig 2
