Evening all, I thought I saw a while ago there was a UHF frequency for 46.46. Maybe it was deleted or changed? Let me know, thanks

I haven't picked up anything on 46.46 in YEARS.. As a matter of fact it was accidentally unlocked a few weeks ago on my Pro 651 and I didn't understand where the birdie sounds were coming from , it was annoying the crap out of me, I had squelch all the way up and it was still happening on occassion. Then I realized it was 46.46 so I locked it out and the scanner has been "normal" ever since. |

Low Band is essentially dead in Suffolk County. 46.46 MHz will no longer be monitored by FRES as the old decaying low band communications infrastructure is dismantled. Tone activation by FRES is on UHF Paging West and Paging East. Other fire districts and PSAP's are activating on various individual licensed UHF and UHF-T band channels. Some may still be simulcasting their tone activation on 46.46 MHz but probably for not much longer. |
