From Islip Terrace I was receiving plow operations on 453.4375 during the storm.

Anyone else capture any activity?

I picked up DOT activity on 453.4375 82.5 while on LIE last week regarding salting ops. Wasn’t able not able to monitor low band at the same time though.

I have received DOT traffic on that UHF freq/tone as well
In various locations all across the island it's simplex
Probably been in use for a couple of years at least
I think what they do is they use the lowband radios to talk truck to truck
Then when they are outside the vehicle they use the UHF portables
