A lot of the newer scanners have the option to do Fire Tone-Outs that alerts you if a two-tone sequential page is transmitted on a specific frequency.

I am asking anyone here with minitor 2 pagers open them up and post your permacode reed numbers so others may utilize this option on the reciever.

I will start with Malverne FD:

P33 - 2286.0 Hz
P15 - 1180.0 Hz

Some pagers have 3 Reeds for a "general tone" and a "company tone".

If you have a minitor 3,4 or 5 if you can ask around your FD and get the tone numbers it would also help as these pagers do not have actual reeds in them and must be read utilizing a programing cable and computer software.

thanks and hopefully this thread can be a successful reference for all scanning / radio enthusiasts.

Later in the week I will add a few others to the list.

I'm a few hours ahead of you... but I like your thinking.

This has been a work in progress for about the last 6 months.

The Nassau Tone Out PDF can be found here: [link]

Suffolk will be online in a day or so...

(You may also find the link in the main nav bar under Nassau FD)

Feedback is needed please
