I have never used a SpectrumForce antenna.

If you want to shop local, give your local RadioShack a try. They have a mobile mag mount that is $34.99 that has very good reviews. It has enough coax and a bnc connector on the end of it so it will plug into most scanners.

If you want to go with the SpectrumForce, I modified your link with my affiliate code so w2lie.net will be a few bux.

This antenna [link] is supposed to be top of the line from the reveiws I have heard. It also costs a pretty penny!

Has anyone else used the SpectrumForce? For $20 I might just try it out. Looking to put something on my car that s not going to stick out like a sore thumb. Any other suggestions or reviews for the SpectrumForce? Still open to other suggestions, doesn't have to be mag mount just no glass mounts.

W2LIE, I am guessing that link is still good for your affiliation?

Thanks Cliche. The links are still valid. I just added " SpectrumForce" as an automatic link.

I ordered the SpectrumForce Wideband antenna Monday after you replied and I received it Wednesday. Pretty good reception. I was picking up Dix Hills 5x5 from Manhattan yesterday. Very low profile, not too tall. The thin coax (RG-174) was very easy to tuck away under moldings and get through tight panels and holes.

For the $20 I spent ($25 after shipping) I am very pleased with this antenna. Very good reception across all bands, received it very quickly via USPS, works A LOT better then glass mount antennas, and is not as big and bulky as the RS antenna or other mag antennas. Definitely would recommend it at this point, will let you know if that changes at all.
