Several years ago I purchased a Yaesu FT-50. It's a good radio and I purchased it not only to operate on the UHF bands but to use it at work as well. Unfortunately they updated the firmware in the radio and I wan't able to program it for my work frequencies. There is a gentleman in Macedonia who has a website, [link] and he has his own version od the ADMS software to open up the radio. I have used it but the drawback is once the radio is powered down it loses it's memory. Has anyone else had any success with mods for this radio with the newer firmware ?

I ended up using mine as a wide band receiver. I couldn't find a mod that worked and nothing got that radio into the "T" band.
