For the 4th year running,
you will be able to listen online to the Air Show at Jones Beach at w2lie.net

The feed will start before the planes arrive - so that you may hear the Thunderbirds come into Republic Airport.

There is no set schedule posted on any of the sites I frequent, so if anyone has any "inside" information, please feel free to share.

If I don't hear any schedule, I will be switching the feed Wednesday, May 20th.

There is a new list under Frequencies/Codes for this year's performers.  [link]

I am missing some frequencies and need your help with the following:
F/A-18 Super Hornet and the Air National Guard 106th

I will be archiving the audio from the air show, and hope to put it online when I get a chance.

And don't forget to check out the practices at Jones Beach a few days before the show. Admission is free, since the park is not yet open - making it a FREE air show.

While we're on the subject, spend a few hours along the gates at Republic Airport. You'll see the planes taking off and landing all day long. On Thursday and Friday, you can pay to enter the museum, and take a look at some of the planes up close.

Enjoy the show - I know I will

Phil-
A recent TBird show had them using a NEW freq. of 141.075 for the Diamond formation. I did a search on the web and it was also used at the next show. Other TBird freqs used recently: 413.275 216.975 216.725 235.250 and

Others:
A-10 Flight Demo 122.4750 MHz
Ed Hamill Hamster Bi-plane 123.1500 MHz
F-15 Eagle 376.0250 MHz
Heritage Flight (F-15/A-10/P-51) 136.6750 MHz

Let's hope the Wx is better next weekend than it was this weekend!

LongIslandAviation.info Has some great info on their site under the Jones Beach page -> [link]

Looks like a bulk of it comes in tomorrow and Wednesday. I will start the feeds tonight. I do need to put more memory into the machine. I have 2 Gig on order and it will hopefully arrive before Thursday.

Bob - thanks for the info - I missed 141.075 (but it was on my list)

The live feed is set to begin at 7am on 5/19/09. According to LongIslandAviation.i nfo the Thunderbirds will be landing at Republic so the feed is set to capture that event.

The feed will remain active through Memorial Day.

Don't forget, the Marines will be holding a MAGTF Demo at Eisenhower Park on 5/23 from 10am to 12pm. Its a great show!
Here is a link for more info: [link]

According to the latest traffic on Republic's Frequency, the Thunderbirds should be landing at any minute. (basically this is old news as you are reading it).

Tower states that the Thunderbirds will be airborne again from 2pm to 3pm today.

Bob - confirmed - they are using this frequency..

I have been hearing them on here for the last 30 minutes flying over Long Island.  They are now on the ground at Republic and I am still hearing them from my location (via the live feed).

Thanks for the heads up!
