I'M LOOKING TO BUY AND PROGRAM A BCT 15. I HAVE NO EXPERIENCE WITH PROGRAMMING WHAT SOFTWARE WOULD YOU SUGGEST AND DO YOU KNOW OF AN Y TUTORIALS OR BOOKS OR WEBSITES ON THE SUBJECT

I use Butel Software to program all of my radios.  You can buy the software on my site, and a part of the sale supports w2lie.net:  http://www.w2lie.net/butel

There is an "easy to read" online manual if you are interested here:  http://marksscanners.com/bct15/bct15.shtml

Did you buy the BCT-15 or the BCT-15XT?

If you have any trouble programming the radio, I can sell you pre-made files for the Butel Software, or I can program your radio for you.  http://www.w2lie.net/sales

Or if you want to try it yourself, feel free to ask any questions you may have in a reply to this thread..  I've owned a BCT-15 for a few years, and its a great radio, once you understand how the memory structure works.
