You could, but it is a pain...
Assuming you already have a System setup for Suffolk Trunk, and in that System you have a site for Suffolk Trunk....
Menu -> Program System -> (your suffolk trunk system) Enter Edit Site Select your Site, hit enter Roll to Set Frequencies, Enter Enter new Frequencies (Control Channels, or all 22) Scroll to Edit Band Plan, Enter Scroll to Custom, Enter Band Plan 1, Enter Base = 851.0250, upper = 854.000 Set Offset = 440 polarity +
Then hit menu and go to Plan 2 Base = 851.0125, upper = 868.9875 Offset = 0, polarity +
Then you are done. |

Sorry Chris, the PRO-97 will not work on the rebanded system. |

This thread is "Phase 1" is the rebanding in Suffolk complete? Or can we expect more changes down the road? I'm just curious. |

I am obviously doing something wrong, but what ??? I've read and re-read all the pages here ref: rebanding, but the light isn't going on...Help ??!! |

The PRO-160 / PR-162 require a custom custom plan.
The info is from the PRO-160-162 Yahoo group. I take NO credit for this info
OPTION 3 PROGRAMMING CC freqs. have "5" and "zero" in the 4th decimal place, AND no CC freq. is below 851.3125. (e.g. One or two CC freqs. are like 851.0125 and the others are like 851.0250)
Step SELECT or ENTER then Push 1 FUNC + MAN/MENU 2 TRUNK OPTION ENT/PGM 3 BANK number ENT/PGM 4 MOTOROLA ENT/PGM 5 800MHz CH PLAN ENT/PGM 6 CUSTOM ENT/PGM 7 CUSTOM RANGE 1 ENT/PGM 8 BASE FREQ ENT/PGM 9 851.3125 ENT/PGM 10 854.0000 ENT/PGM 11 OFFSET ENT/PGM 12 560 ENT/PGM 13 SPACING ENT/PGM 14 12.5 ENT/PGM 15 CL (Repeat steps 7-15 with different values)
7 CUSTOM RANGE 2 ENT/PGM 8 BASE FREQ ENT/PGM 9 851.0250 ENT/PGM 10 854.0000 ENT/PGM 11 OFFSET ENT/PGM 12 440 ENT/PGM 13 SPACING ENT/PGM 14 25 ENT/PGM 15 CL (Repeat steps 7-15 with different values)

I successfully re-programmed a bct-15 and pro-163, thanks to your website, but this re-banding on the pro-160 threw me for a loop... Thanks again for the help !!!! My apologies for any wasted bandwith !!!
Thanks Phil....

I too had trouble programming my PRO-160 and PRO-162. You have to reverse the custom bandplan chart (below) from this site. I set mine up using control channel only, 851.36250, 851.41250, 851.68750 and 852.28750 and entered Plan 2 then Plan 1 and it works fine on both. To program control channel only scanning enter the 4 frequencies into the bank you are going to use as MOT trunk frequencies. Then program the custom plan into the scanner as follows, hit Function then Menu, select Trunk Option, Bank(where control channels are), Mot, scroll up to Set C-Ch Only - turn on then hit ENT, then scroll down to 800 MHz CH Plan, Custom, then enter Custom Range 1 as #2 on the chart below and then Custom range 2 as #1 on the chart below. Oh! And obviously enter the talk group ID's you want to listen to. Hope this helps!
Plan 1: 851.0250 / 854.0000 / 440 / 25.0 Plan 2: 851.0125 / 868.9875 / 0 / 25.0
