On Saturday night, July 21st, I moved the website from 1and1 to Fusednetwork.
Why did I move servers?? Speed! The site was loading very slowly on 1and1. The SQL queries alone were taking over 5seconds. With FUSED, all queries (so far) have been under the .5 second mark. You can see this info by going to the very very very bottom of the webpage.

There will be a small transition phase, while the site is being moved.
Right now, when you go to www . w2lie . net, you are being forwarded to a temp website address. Because of this, some of the links and images are not quite working well.

I am waiting on a DNS transfer from 1and1 to Fused. Once this happens, the website should function normally, on its own.

I transferred the DNS last night at 1am. I'm told that the transfer should take anywhere from 24-48 hours.

IF, by Tuesday, you are still having a problem with the site, and seeing the long URL in your address field...you may need to clear out your Internet Explorer or Firefox Cache. (Or any other browser you may be using).

Also, you my need to clean out your computer's DNS files.  For you windows users, you need to click START, then RUN
I the RUN box, type in the letters CMD
When you've entered what looks like a DOS shell, type the following:
IPCONFIG /FLUSHDNS

You can then exit when your computer gives you the C:> prompt.

Thanks again for hanging in there while the transition is made.ÂÂ
Phil

UPDATE:

The DNS at 1and1 has now been updated to point to FusedNetwork.

Let me just say something about David at FusedNetwork.. He has been more than helpful on getting my site moved. He returned my phone call before I had a chance to send him an e-mail.

When I did send him an e-mail, his replies all came in at under 5 minutes! The support is there!

Now, Fusednetwork can take control of the w2lie.net name, and the old www . w2lie . net web address will be active at its new home.

As you can see now, if you scroll to the bottom of the page, the rendering times are now well under 1 second (typicall under .5 seconds.) Over at 1and1, the times were above 5 seconds. This should make the pages load quicker.

Also, look for more features in the future! Now that I have more control over the website, and that is good news to all of us.

If you are looking for web hosting, give these guys a try. They aren't the cheapest on the block, but that few extra bucks makes up for all the support they have! Good job David!

I will proudly post a Fusednetwork logo at the footer of my site!
