Approx 25 min of audio

This audio is from the time Firecom's tower was struck by lighting, until 6am the following morning.

This was a sad event. All the money the county takes from these departments to provide a service and they have no secondary consoles or backup capabilities for when their primary means are interrupted. So much for being prepared for another terrorist attack.

I'm curious why Wantagh or Long Beach didnt activate their field comm units to help take the load off of firecom or North Bellmore. Many hands = lite work....why spend money that doesnt get put to use?
