Continuing with a W2LIE.net tradition- "Listen to the Ball Drop - From Behind the scenes" returns for another year, and will continue to do so each and every year!
Listen to ABC's Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve with Ryan Seacrest 2019 from the Director's Chair.
Since 2007, W2LIE.net has brought the action from Times Square to you via our live feeds.
If we can hear the director link, you won't be hearing it "as it happens" due to streaming delays - but the sync should be close enough with Satellite delays for you to enjoy hearing the action while watching the live event!
Feed will be modified from time to time to bring you the best action from Times Square.
The feed will be live in the afternoon 12/31/19, and run well past midnight.
In previous years there was plenty of action on the feedafter the sun went down. Camera crews and the director were hunting for "filler shots" to record and use during the live broadcast of the night's events.
Unfortunately, as of the last three years, it seems like the the link is now using a local repeater instead of the Citywide repeater. If we are unable to locate the audio, we'll continue to operate the feed by broadcasting DSNY, NYPD, FDNY, and OEM operations.
How You can listen to the feed: As in previous years, the feed on my "/special" stream. From your computer: goto my Feed page at [link] From ProScan: server=remote.w2lie.net port=5005 From your mobile device: download Scanner Radio Deluxe (apple) or Scanner Radio (android) and browse for W2LIE and look for the special feed.
