Tetra ?

454.20625 is showing on DSDPlus as TIII Network L13-1.5. Moxan is facing West from E Islip

Any thought?

TIII is DMR Tier III (aka Tier 3), not Tetra. DSD+ does not decode Tetra.

You're basically seeing DMR Tier III Network 13, Region 1, Site 5

L13 = Large Network 13
1.5 = Region 1, Site 5

Also see the OneVoice thread on RR, specifically starting with this post:

The site you're hearing has already been discovered, along with a few others:

Site 1.2 - 477.775 (Pomona, Rockland County, NY)
Site 1.3 - 472.0375
Site 1.5 - 454.20625 (Alpine, Bergen County, NJ)
Site 1.6 - 454.65625

Sorry about that, title should have been hytera, as that's what DSDPlus displayed. Not tetra. If it was tetra, I would have been using the tetra plugin for sdr# and searched that info.

In any event, I did not think I discovered it, I just could not id it. It reads out network L13. I did not think to just search sys id 13. I was putting the "L" in there. So with TIII systems, the letter in the network id is silent I guess?

Either way, I must say that I am very happy with the moxon I made for 470.000MHz. I am getting things I never did before. I am pulling in Onevoice from 171 6 Court Plaza and 171 7 Glen Oaks. All from in indoor antenna in E Islip.

No worries, I actually created the system in the RRDB after researching your find. Picking up the Alpine tower out there is pretty impressive.

Unfortunately for whatever reason, the RRDB doesn't let us assign Network (System) ID's to Tier III systems. I'm going to see if Lindsay can fix that.

PS - Don't confuse Hytera XPT with Hytera branded Tier III system, they are two different animals.

By the way, did you happen to notice the color code for 454.20625?

Direct link to the system in the RRDB

I see in the db it's listed as Goosetown Communications and I know if you found its license, you would have added it to the db. When there is not a license listed, is there any way to know the output power for that site 5?

Unfortunately, there is no way to know the output power if you have no license to reference.

Those 454 MHz frequencies are licensed under Part 22 Paging, which do not require site-specific licensing, so it's often impossible to find details. They are simply blanket licensed regionally, so can be used at pretty much any site within the many counties covered under the CP license.
