Heard some activity on 08-081 during the marathon
Its listed in the DB to the health dept. but the units calling were referring to the base as "OEM"...

OEM was running the show at the marathon. On 08-081 I heard "DOH to OEM Base" numerous times. DOH being "Department of Health" |

Yeah i just wasnt sure if i recalled getting any activity on that TG from previous years during the marathon
OEM was also on one of their tac TG's 06-067 and there was a lot of activity on 06-141
|

Nassau County fire departments rarely if ever used the EDACS system. They never even use the new P25 system. I believe they’re perfectly comfortable sticking with their existing UHF frequencies.

The EDACS system was more or less intended for interops with FM and OEM as far as fire dept usage goes but it never really happened Very few depts even have the 800mhz radios therefore the limited use of the system That aside - Firecom does/did monitor a few of the fire talk groups With this system on the way out and with many FD/EMS now having at least a Medcom P25 radio it will be interesting to see how they will use the new system...
