HRU is held annually at Briarcliff College in Bethpage NY. Forums start at 9am and run every hour until 4pm.
This year, there are 25 Forums including Software Defined Radios, Emergency Power for your Home, Remote Station Operation, World Radiosport Team Championship, Ham Radio Deluxe, HF Digital Modes, The Haiti Experience, Intro to NTS and more!
W2LIE will discuss "Intro to Scanning" at 9am - 9:50am. The Forum will discuss what equipment will be needed, how to scan local action, and how trunk systems work. The class will be geared to those new to the hobby, as well as those who have been listening for years.
There will be time at the end of the forum (which is set to last 50 minutes) for question and answers, so don't be shy.
A donation to HRU of $3 will be collected at the door, so make sure you show up a few minutes early.
