Devin, the scanner should be in the CLOSED (-) mode when your trunked group is properly programmed.

What software version is in the scanner? Old firmware can't reband. Turn the radio on and after you get the boot screen press 3. Let us know what you see on both lines.

Also note, beginning last night I started testing it with only the 4 CC's in it. It actually appears to be working better than it was when I had all 22 frequencies in it. However, it still skips every now and then. |

Is this the only system that the skipping occurs on? And what is the signal strength your getting? |

I only monitor the County Trunk system. The signal strength varies. |

To improve your signal strength, I would recommend purchasing the optional 800 MHz rubber antenna for the RS PRO-164. I have one and it makes alot of difference in reception especially in fringe areas. |

First off - I'm removing all the BS comments in this thread. The public forum isn't a place to insult each other. If you want to have a one on one argument, use the PM system from that.
Second, back on subject - have you tried using the scanner in other locations besides your house? You said the signal fluctuates. If you don't have enough of a decode, you won't be able to trunk. |
