so here we are, 8/10/17, i finally have a very strong signal here in hampton bays but there is absolutely nothing being heard on my scanner.
in the past when the signal was marginal, there used to be a simulcast of a precinct, i believe it was the 3rd, now there is nothing.
though i should have unitrunker open to log any activity, i currently dont have it open and have no plans to use it at the moment.
so with that being said, has anyone else logged any activity on the new system at all in the last few months or is this just another waste of taxpayer dollars brought on by ex TOB supervisor Bellone ?

They stopped the full time patch of the 3rd precinct awhile ago. every so often i run pro96com and there really isn't any traffic. There is one talkgroup rumored to be a Mac Arthur crash fire rescue talkgroup, 6301 TDMA but it is so rarely used i have not be able to confirm who uses it. Another rumor is sometime in the fall users of the 800mhz system will start switching over to the 700mhz system

Are there any new rumors, of facts about the status of this system? Last week or the week before the 1st pct was simulcasting on the site 6 freqs (800mhz ones) but nothing this week.

Thanks

Any updates on anything? Saw the techs on the air today but other than 1 affiliation request, pretty quiet.

Rumor has it the northport va is dragging their butts in letting the county get in to install the radio site there. Once that site is completed users will slowly be switched from the analog 800 system to the digital 700 system.

Been running Unitrunker and I do see radio id's that I have labeled as Mac Arthur fire units (on 800 system) showing on the 700 system tg 6301. Not many but some joins and logins.

Lol
The meteorological fall starts September 1 and ends on November 30

The astronomical fall starts September 22 and ends on December 21

Guess they mean the astronomical one.
